Padauk calls

Post by misfire » Tue Feb 23, 2016 7:01 pm

For those that do not know much about exotic woods, padauk comes from Africa and is normally a red colored wood, makes a great striker. I got a piece a few weeks ago that is orange in color. Decided to turn a few pot calls out of it and am extremely pleased with the results. One is a slate, the next is a frying pan copper and the last is a glass over slate two sider.

Yes, I bought a copper pot from another call maker last year, I too like the way it sounds, I had to swear off of my collecting this season, or I'd buy that rascal.....
