WillowRidgeCalls "Squawk Box" calls

Post by WillowRidge » Mon Mar 28, 2016 10:44 am

These two friction wood callers I built for Treerooster, to compare how closely they sound to his original Kenny Morgan friction wood call. I would not market them if they didn't sound close to what the original call sounded like. I feel if your going to build a reproduction of a call, it better sound as close as you can make it sound to the original call, JMO. Gary was nice enough to compare the calls on video so we can see how closely they sound.
Thanks Gary for doing this for me!!!

I thought the first squaker sounded pretty much like the original call, the second sounded a little dead in spots, maybe could be used more as a gobbler call. Pretty neat little call, I like the sound of the original and call 1, 4 what it's worth....howdy Gary :D

That's a very interesting call. I'm like David, the first one sounded closer to the original than the second. The second call had that dead sound in the middle but I'm guessing that is the way you wanted it, that way you could get more of a gobbler sound out of it.?
