Cool!

I was out duck hunting today and the place I hunt is near a wintering flock. It was pretty warm this morning, about 28 degrees, and they were chain gobbling. Probably 20 to 30 gobblers. I first heard them about an hour and 10 minutes before sunrise. They may have been gobbling already, but that is when I got to my spot and quit walking. They quit gobbling at about shooting light though. It seems they started gobbling early and quit just after I normally would expect a bird to start.

These birds started about 10 min. before fly down and stopped with no gobbling on the ground.
Starting to get turkey hunting withdrawals knowing how close the season is but still 2 1/2 months away!
