Turkey Bow Setup

Post by J Gilbert » Sun Jan 20, 2013 8:38 pm

For those hunting turkeys with a bow this spring, what setup will you be using?

As of right now, I'll be using my Obsession SS, will probably lower the poundage to 62lbs or so, hoping to pick up some Black Eagle arrows and will be using Mr. Tim Knight's new broadhead named the BiPolar if I can get my hands on some. If not, I'll use my Beman MFX arrows and the Gravedigger and Innerloc heads I already have.

I want to try to kill one without a blind, and the smooth draw of the SS will allow me to do that, especially at a lighter draw weight.

I'm hoping to get an Obsession Sniper LT before season, but it remains to be seen as to whether that will happen or not.

I may try a bow this year. I would assume any broadhead would work as long as you hit vitals.
